In the past 3 years I've gone through alot of computer hardware, and consequently a number of different modding projects. My specific computer needs had changed during the Fall and I was due for an upgrade. I felt like doing something unique and challenging for my 21st complete case mod, while still building a machine tailored specifically to my own set of needs. I wanted the most power possible, in the least amount of space, and this is what I've come up with.
Specs:
- Pentium 4 2.4 ghz
- Intel 845 GE chipset Commell LV-670LVDS motherboard
- 512mb PC2700 DDR
- 40 GB laptop Hard Drive
- 8x laptop DVD-ROM
- 5.6" Video LCD
- WinXP SP1 VLE
- Fellowes aluminum USB Stowaway
- Wireless ball mouse
I've modified nearly everything in this case including: cables rounded and routed obsessively, side and rear ventilation, window in DVD-ROM drive, replacement of all case LEDs, addition of 14 RED LEDs to light inside of case, shortening of CPU heatsink (Dynatron DC1027B-X) to 1U level without effecting performance, direct power wiring of Video LCD, and custom machining of plastic LCD lid mechanism/enclosure. Dimensions: 8.5" x 8" x 6" Weight: 9lb Total time spent modding: 40+ hours

ABOUT THE BUILDER
I was born in Iceland in 1982. At the time my father was serving in the United States Air Force. Since then I have travelled to 14 states and 6 countries. The last grade I officially graduated from was 3rd. Since then I've managed to self-educate myself in any subject that peaked my inquisitive mind. I've always been a rather shy and unassuming individual that kept to my own business and at all times avoided ruffling anyones feathers. I'm the quietest and calmest third child of four. I have two older brothers, and a younger sister. I'm a very picky eater and primarily subsist on carbohydrates (sugar, bread) and some fats (beef, dairy) and proteins (rice, pasta).
