winners of October's case mod competition
And now, the moment you've all been
waiting for ... or, at least those of
you who entered last month's case mod
competition. The first place winner in Newegg.com's
October competition is none other than "Flamecube,"
meticulously fabricated by mod guru Capt. Slug.
"In the past 3 years I've gone through
alot of computer hardware, and consequently
a number of different modding projects,"
the Captain remarked. "I felt like doing something
unique and challenging for my 21st complete
case mod, while still building a machine
tailored specifically to my own set of needs."
Those needs garnered Capt. Slug a $575 Newegg.com
gift certificate and bragging rights as our
modder of the month. Jonathan Jarembek of Phoenix,
Arizona collected a not-too-shabby $450 gift
certificate for his second place entry,
"Dragon." Rounding out the best-of-the-best
for October is our third place winner,
SuperKim. For his creativity and participation
in the Newegg.com community, Kim earned

East coast tech enthusiasts packed the Newegg.com
booth October 14-16 in the Javits Center for
DigitalLife.
The consumer technology, video gaming
and entertainment event in NYC featured celebrities
like Carmen Electra, Rachel Hunter,
and the Mets' Willie Randolph and Cliff
Floyd. But the real star of the show was none

away five tournament-caliber gaming systems
