What to Bring | BYOC Games | BYOC Tournaments


Purchasing a BYOC pass gets you access to our BYOC area, where you can connect your own PC to our LAN (Local Area Network) and get your game on with 400 other gamers. Participate in BYOC-exclusive tournaments and zany contests for the opportunity to walk away with goodies – or, just have a grand spankin’ time with your friends and fellow gamers. Gamers of ALL skill levels are welcome to register for BYOC passes.




Each BYOC participant is required to bring his / her own:
· Game machine
· Monitor
· POWER STRIP (VERY IMPORTANT! Each participant will only be allotted one power outlet)
· Mouse
· Mousepad
· Headphones (speakers are not allowed)
· Keyboard
· Games
· Power cable

NOTE: You will NOT be allowed to bring devices that require external power other than your PC and monitor.

    We will be providing dedicated servers in the BYOC area for the following games:

  • Counter-Strike: 1.6
  • Counter-Strike: Source
  • Half-Life 2 Deathmatch
  • Battlefield Vietnam
  • Battlefield 1942
  • Battlefield 2 (NEW!)
  • Unreal Tournament 2K4
  • Call of Duty
  • Painkiller
NOTE: RTS (Real Time Strategy) games such as Warcraft III and Starcraft do not require dedicated servers. We warmly welcome RTS gamers to attend LANfest2K5.

    BYOC-exclusive Tournaments (You must have a BYOC pass to participate in these tournaments)

  • Unreal Tournament 2K4 - 8 person FFA tournament, with top 4 finishers to advance to next round. Prizes to be announced soon.
    Saturday, 11AM - 6PM

  • Painkiller - "King of the PC" format, with prizes given to competitors able to win 5 straight matches
    Sunday, 9AM - 1PM

  • Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Solo tournament - "King of the PC" format, with prizes given to competitors able to win 5 straight matches
    Sunday, 1PM - 6PM

  • Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, 2v2 tournament - Single Elimination
    Saturday, 6PM - Sunday, 2AM
